Hi friends! Hope you’re having a great summer. This August is set to be my biggest month in quite a while, so I figured it warranted its own post to talk about it.
Right off the bat Josh, Marshall, and I will be traveling to Ninilchik, Alaska to play Salmonfest. The three-day festival is headlined by Shakey Graves and Umphrey’s McGee, and also features Rising Appalachia, Steve Poltz, and the California Honedrops. It’s going to be wild. We have sets on Friday and Sunday. Oh, and we’ll have a big ol’ party onstage too, because Jimbo Scott will also be there with Andy Merrill and Owen Ragland, all of whom have played with us in the past. So look for a big snazzy six-man band to be gracing the stage at times, I can’t wait.
Our name is pretty small in the blue, but I’m still so excited to see it there!
The other show that we’re REALLY excited about is our night at Brice Station Vineyards in Murphys on August 27th. Last weekend I had the pleasure of joining Jimbo and Late for the Train up there, and the venue is as beautiful as ever. This year we’ll be bringing a six-piece band up there, complete with keys and fiddle. It’s gonna be a hoot. Tickets are available here.
Hate to bury the lede, but I’ve also got music coming out this month! I’ll post more about it once it’s out, but Live at the Harvard Mixer Ball, Vol. 2 will be out on August 11th. It was recorded at a house concert we played in September 2022 on a really miserable, smoky day. Matt Battaglia is back with artwork, and this time there’s even some accompanying video. If you follow me on Spotify you can make sure it shows up in your Release Radar that week.
Marshall and I will be traveling to South Lake Tahoe to open for Jimbo’s band on August 11 for Live at Lakeview, and the band returns to Dying Breed Brewing in Oakdale on August 20. I’ve got solo acoustic gigs in Ceres, Arnold, and Murphys as well. The full schedule’s over on the Shows page. Really hope we get to see you at one of the big ones.
Thanks for checking in! Stay well friends.
