Wasps, Sauce, Kith & Kin

Posted by iamsupergrover Category: News

First…thank you to everyone who danced and listened to our shows at Murphys Irish Days on Saturday. It seems like every year we have a little more fun than the last.

If there’s a backyard, guitar, long as we can see the stars…

Hopefully you’ve heard the newest single that was released last week. It’s called “Wasps”, and it features a ton of Calaveras County musicians. In addition to my band The Lampoliers (Marshall Henry, Josh Certo, & Anthony Delaney), it features Kiel Williams (of Risky Biscuits) on lead guitar, Nate Nathan on keys, and Jimbo Scott on backing vocals. If you haven’t heard it yet, check it out at any of these links:

Sauced BBQ & Spirits

Livermore • 3/23 • 9:30pm

This weekend we’ll be coming down off the mountain to play two shows that we’re very excited for. First, the whole band is trekking down to Sauced BBQ & Spirits in Livermore, CA to play their stage. It’s a show we’ve been looking forward to for a while…I’ve played a bunch of acoustic shows in Livermore but we’ve never brought the band. We met a family at Murphys Open House 2018 who suggested we give it a shot, so we’re very much looking forward to it.

Kith and Kin Music Festival

The next day, Marshall and I travel to Rancho Cordova to play a very special acoustic set at Claimstake Brewing Co’s first ever Kith & Kin Music Festival. Featuring a bunch of great acts, including one of my favorite singer-songwriters Austin Lucas (from Bloomington, IN) and Tuolumne County friends The Three To Get. If Claimstake sounds familiar, it’s because we played there Memorial Day Weekend 2017 and had one of the coolest shows we’ve ever played. The family-owned business brews delicious beer and aggressively supports original live artists. In addition to Austin Lucas and myself, they’ve hosted awesome bands like The Lowest Pair, The Crow & The Canyon, and Ben Larson. I can’t recommend getting to know this place enough. Our set’s expected to be in the mid-afternoon, but stick around all day! Advance tickets available here.

Hope to see you at either (or both)! For a comprehensive list of upcoming shows, visit the calendar.
