I’m so excited to be on the road again, this time through the Pacific Northwest (“Southern Cascadia” if you’re a romantic.) My last two trips through Oregon, I only played Ashland and Portland, so I decided to mix it up a little bit this time. Portland’s an unfortunate casualty to that, but I’m hoping that being in some new cities will be a positive thing! As always, if you have friends & family near any of these towns, I’d be immensely grateful if you’d spread the word. Dates & links by city:
Ashland, OR<
On Tuesday, February 9 I’m playing at Oberon’s Tavern in Ashland. This place will always be special to me for personal reasons, but it’s a beautifully decorated room themed around A Midsummer Night’s Dream. They serve really good beer and mead, delicious old-world food, and their staff is costumed straight out of the Renaissance. Show starts at 8, and all ages are welcome.
Bend, OR
I’ve never played in Bend before, so I am excited to be playing at 9pm on Wednesday, February 10. The Astro Lounge was kind enough to host a traveller like myself, and their menu looks great. Their signature burger is $7 after 10 that night, so stay for the whole set!
Cottage Grove, OR
I don’t know much about Cottage Grove, but Wikipedia says that the final scene of Animal House was filmed there, so it’s already pretty great in my book. Looking forward to getting to know this place, starting with The Brew Station & Coast Fork Feed. Yes, a brewery and a feed store…you see why I wanted to play this town? I’ll be playing a late happy hour, 6pm-8pm, on Thursday, February 11.
Eugene, OR
I always root for the Ducks when they’re playing some SEC team in the BCS, so I should fit right in here. Black Forest is a venue that has lots of rock bands but does singer/songwriter Thursdays, so I’ll be racing up to play at 10pm on Thursday, February 11 (DOUBLE DUTY!) They normally have three acts a night, but so far it’s just me on the bill, so if I play all night long, I’m happy to do it.
Seattle, WA
Last but not least, I am so happy to be returning to Spinnaker Bay Brewing on Friday, February 12. It’s the only woman-owned brewery in the state, and danged if they don’t do it right. I really enjoyed playing there in March of last year, and I’m really happy to be coming back. Great room, great environment, and a really cool neighborhood. They mentioned that they might have a food truck too, so everybody wins.
After all this, I’m gonna race back to California so I can be home for Valentine’s Day. I’m working on some cool projects, including shows, residencies, and some new releases as well, so stay tuned!
