A few weeks ago I was invited to take the Indiemono Playlist Challenge, and today they published it. They give you a theme, and you pick twenty songs to build a playlist around it. (Makes you miss mixtapes, right?!) Mine was “Around the Fire”, so I thought long and hard about songs that I’d like to hear around a campfire. Storytelling was an important factor I looked for, and after I gathered about 40 songs, my deciding factor was asking “How much would I love to hear the artist play this around a fire in the woods?” for each song. I threw a couple of mind in there as well, and I think we’ve got a pretty fun, eclectic mix. Dive in and follow the playlist! If you want to see my nifty little video introduction, visit Indiemono’s site and see me look nice and awkward!
By the way, I’m a Spotify power-user. I love the social aspect, creating playlists and meeting new people with awesome music tastes. I’m also really grateful that the weekly “Discovery” playlists have put so many ears on “Moonshine”…it’s so wonderful. If you want to be Spotify friends, here’s my profile!
